Interview Project

Students' first opportunity to use cameras. In this project, students will interview a subject, tape an opening and closing stand up and a cutaway/reaction shot. Students then edit the raw footage and add graphics. New skills learned include: use of camera, proper picture composition, reporting with "Rule of Threes", capturing video, using cutaways and adding graphics, including incorporating "Editor's Toolbox" animated graphics.

Slideshow Project

This is our first opportunity to use non-linear editing software. It allows us to create a video slideshow by combining photos, graphics (titles), transitions, effects and music.
